The short version
- Your photos and edits stay on your phone. The app never uploads them.
- No accounts, no servers of our own, no analytics of our own.
- One ad, on the Profile page only, from Google AdMob. Remove ads turns it off.
- We don't sell your data.

All of it is in the app's private storage and is left out of Android™'s cloud backup. The app sees only the photos you give it: through Android's photo picker, a folder you add, or a photo you share to it or open with it. It has no permission to read your gallery.
2. What leaves the app
Only what you send. Save writes the edited photo where you choose, with its location removed by default. Share sends a saved copy to the app you pick. Back up writes your edits, and your photos if you choose, to one unencrypted file where you choose. A look shared as a QR code holds only the edit settings.
3. The ad
The Profile page shows one ad from Google AdMob. To show and measure it, Google collects your device's advertising ID, an approximate location from your IP address, how you interact with the ad, and crash and diagnostic data. Where consent is needed, the app asks first with Google's form, and Profile › Privacy options changes it. See Google's policy.
4. Google Play
Remove ads is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. The app receives Google's signed confirmation and checks it on your phone. We see Google Play's sales reports, never your card details. Google Play also shows us install totals and crash reports from phones that share diagnostics with Google.

The app has no camera, location, contacts or storage permission.
6. Children
Shinylens is meant for people aged 13 and over.
7. Keeping and deleting
Your edits stay on your phone until you delete them: Delete your data.

The date at the top changes when this policy changes.
